Bizman in court over N43m fraud, gets N20m bail

Justice Mojisola Dada of the Particular Offences Court, Ikeja, Lagos Say, on Thursday, granted a businessman, Fatuyi Philips, accused of N43m fraud bail within the sum of N20m.

Philips is the Chairman of the Pure Oil and Fuel Suppliers Affiliation of Nigeria. He’s being tried together along with his firm, Oceanview Oil and Fuel Exiguous.

The defendant, who goes through two counts bordering on obtaining money by false pretences to the tune of N43,502,000, turned into once first arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Expose of the Economic and Monetary Crimes Commission on April 7, 2022.

He pleaded no longer responsible to the prices.

The defence counsel, O. Ajanaku, moved the bail software program of the defendant.

Justice Dada granted the defendant bail within the sum of N20m with two sureties in love sum.

The case turned into once adjourned until June 17, 2022, for trial.
