Justice of the Peace Linda Balogun ordered the remand of the minor, 16-year-typical Mohammed at the Special Correctional Centres for Boys in Oregun while 19-year-typical Jamiu used to be remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Center, pending the upright advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The duo were charged alongside two others Mumuni Toheeb, 21 and Mubarak Soliu, 20 both of whom allegedly bought a Spark S Techno Cellular phone belonging to the deceased and valued at N60,000.
The four defendants are going thru three costs bordering on conspiracy, homicide, and receiving of a stolen merchandise, most smartly-appreciated in opposition to them by the Police.

The Prosecuting licensed official with the Sigh Prison Investigation Department (SCID) Panti, Mr Julio Hodonu, suggested the court docket that the defendants allegedly dedicated the offences on December 3, 2021, at Boulevard 13, sixth Avenue Festac Metropolis, in Amuwo Odofin residence of Lagos Sigh.
The prosecutor also stated that Farouk and Jamiu conspired amongst themselves and unlawfully killed Babatunde Dada, by stabbing and clubbing him to loss of life with a bottle and wood. In step with the prosecutor, the offence is punishable below sections 411, 223 & 328(1) of the Prison Licensed guidelines of Lagos, 2015.
He requested the court docket to repeat the remand of the suspects for the first 30 days pending the DPP’s advice.
Following his remand utility, counsel to the first defendant, Oyekanmi Isijola, raised an objection that the first defendant is a minor and is now now not going to be remanded in penal complicated nonetheless a juvenile centre.
Justice of the Peace Balogun agreed and ordered that the first defendant desires to be remanded at the Special Correctional Centres for Boys, Oregun, and the second defendant Ikoyi Jail respectively.
