President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday says he resides each day with effort and apprehension for the victims of terrorist attacks in Nigeria.
Buhari disclosed this on Sunday at some stage in his nationwide broadcast to impress 2022 Democracy Day.
The President famed that Nigeria can handiest be safe if the authorities and the folks can work collectively to pause crime.
In accordance with him, the authorities is working onerous to contain and address security challenges in the country.
“On this big day, I’d like us all to keep all victims of terrorist actions in our solutions and prayers,” he acknowledged.
“I am residing each day with the effort and apprehension for all those victims and prisoners of terrorism and kidnapping. I and the protection companies are doing all we can to free those wretched countrymen and countrywomen safely.
“For those who have lost their lives, we are in a position to proceed to gape justice for their families towards the perpetrators.
“For those currently in captivity, we is now not going to pause till they are freed, and their kidnappers are introduced to justice. If all of us unite, we are in a position to be victorious towards these brokers of fright and destruction.”
Hours after gunmen attacked St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, killing as a minimum 40 worshippers and injuring several folks, Buhari hosted a dinner occasion for participants of the ruling All Progressives Congress nationwide caucus.
