Lawmakers on Tuesday voted against a bill looking out out to provide special seats for girls in the Nationwide and Bellow Homes of Assembly.
The bill became defeated in the Senate with 58 votes out of 91.
Within the Home of Representatives 208 out of 290 lawmakers voted against it.

Wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo became display on the ground of the Home of Representatives for the vote.
In an interview after the vote, Mrs Osinbajo acknowledged the defeated bill became no longer the discontinuance of the agitation for girls inclusion in Nigerian politics.
The Minister of Girls folks Affairs, Pauline Tallen, described the vote as a show of disgrace.
