Subsidiaries summons: NNPC has nothing to veil, Kyari tells lawmakers

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian Nationwide Petroleum Firm Cramped, Mele Kyari, has talked about the NNPC has nothing to veil and will follow the request of the Condominium of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts.

Kyari disclosed this following the request by the Condominium of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts searching for the appears to be like of heads of NNPC subsidiaries prior to the lawmakers.

In step with the News Company of Nigeria, the NNPC boss in an announcement issued in Abuja, talked about the company would follow the committee’s requirement and proceed to be responsible and clear.

He talked about, “We haven’t got the rest to veil, Mr Chairman. We recognise that this company belongs to over 200 million Nigerians as its shareholders, thus now we had been responsible and clear and we are in a position to proceed to stay so.

“No national oil company on this planet is as clear as we are. We shall follow the Condominium committee’s requirement.”

The committee had on March 16, thru a letter signed by its Chairman, Oluwole Oke (PDP: Osun), summoned the 17 subsidiaries of NNPC to acknowledge to audit queries by the Auditor-Frequent for the Federation over the operations of their funds between 2014 and 2019.
